We are proud of our fine selection of musical performances beginning with The Heritage Series and continuing with the Classical Series. Our artists hail from Madison, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth, Madeline Island, and the Chequamegon Peninsula.

Immerse yourself in the delightful charm of Bayfield, Wisconsin, as you indulge in the magical experience of summer concerts. Nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Superior, Bayfield is a picturesque town known for its breathtaking natural beauty and vibrant arts scene.
June 19th: Warren Nelson & Ensemble
The group will
present Nelson’s original songs
about the history of Bayfield,
the Apostle Islands and Lake
Superior.
June 26: Anishinaabe Flutist Michael “Laughing Fox Charette
A Celebration of Chippewa Music and Legend with Red Cliff Flutist and storyteller Michael Charette with Mashkiiziibii (Bad River) and Red Cliff singers, dancers, and drummers
July 3: A Walk down Tin Pan Alley
Vocals by Duluth based Lyric Opera of the North Singers Vicki Fingalson, Sarah Lawrence, Calland Metts, Jeffrey Madison and pianist Bill Munson
July 10: Music for cello, piano and voice
Original compositions from Cheryl Leah and Ed Willett pulled from their 38 year history of writing and performing together with their group, the Chance Ensemble, with pianist/composer Severin Behnin. Also on the program will be Samuel Barber’s Sonata for Cello and Piano
July 17: Trevor Stephenson
Madison, WI harpsichordist and 18th century music expert plays treasures from the baroque on his own specially built instrument.
July 24 : Fellowship Quartets from Madeline Island Chamber Music
Music from the 21st century. These talented developing artists from around the world display a culmination of their development in the prestigious Madeline Island summer chamber music institute, tutored by leading professionals.
July 31: Lumina - Kim Sueoka, Linda Kachelmeier, Angela Grundstad, Clara Osowski
Lumina is a professional women’s ensemble, dedicated to the mystery, beauty and hope inherent in music, drawing from a rich well of musical sources, including Medieval chants, Renaissance motets, folk song traditions, and works by living and local composers.
Aug 7: Song stylist Jan Lee, Jazz fiddler Randy Sabien, pianist David Oliver
A potpourri of Jazz, Classical and Music Theater. BSC’s most popular concert in 2023.
Aug 14 : The Boat Note Five
Traditional jazz band gives a tribute to Louis Armstrong and the early days of NOLA Jazz, narrated and led by Twin Cities Jazz expert clarinetist Tony Balluff.
Aug 21: Prairie Home artists and personalities Marie Jette and Dan Chouinard
Reprised Classics and Art song for soprano and piano from the American and British repertoire.
Aug 28: Russian born identical twins Julia and Irina Elkina
The twins return to perform classical piano repertoire for four hands. “Having played together since the age of 5, the two musicians are so in tune with each other, it’s almost as if they’re performing as one player with four arms.”
September 4: Brazilian recorder artist Cleo Galhano and Cuban guitarist Rene Izquierdo
The duo plays the Latin repertoire with unbelievable precision and technique. They stunned BSC audiences in 2023.
